Overview
Yallabae is an online marketplace, and this is its customer mobile app: shoppers browse products by category, brand, and seller storefront, catch flash deals and promotions, keep a wishlist and cart, check out, and manage their orders, returns, and product reviews.
My Role
Sole developer of the customer mobile app, building it in React Native (Expo) on the marketplace's Supabase backend, as a freelance engagement.
Technical Approach
Built with Expo Router file-based navigation split into auth and customer flows, with data-fetching hooks over Supabase for catalog, search, cart, orders, returns, and reviews, and Supabase Storage for photo uploads on profiles and return requests. The app supports English and Arabic with full right-to-left layout, voice search, and an optional Face ID / fingerprint app lock. Sentry handles error monitoring, and GitHub Actions run lint and type checks on every change and trigger EAS builds for staging and production releases.
